Greetings from Ambassador Dr. Alberts Sarkanis
May 26, 2010
Avon, Connecticut.
About the Fermata exhibition in Kazakhstan, Dr. Alberts Sarkanis, Latvian Ambassador to Kazakhstan in Astana, writes:
(May 13, 2010) I’m very pleased to get at least virtually acquainted with people at and around the Fermata Arts Foundation who organized the exhibition Ideal House 2010: Kazakhstan. Having an opportunity to see art works by young students from different countries, including my native Latvia, I express my extreme appreciation and thankfulness to those who created pieces of art and to those who guided the authors so to show excellent efforts for better understanding of each other and strengthening people-to-people philosophy in the changing world. In this regard it seems to be more proper to quote the words by Mitsugi Saotome: If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.
